The Grand National 2018 took place on April 14th, which is one of the most important races in the world. It takes place annually at Aintree Racecourse, near Liverpool , UK. Established in 1839, it is a steeplechase with handicap on a course of 6,907 meters, with the horses which have to complete two laps of the track and overcome 30 obstacles. A very hard and selective race, where only the best are able to complete the course.
There are 38 starters this year and the winner is Tiger Roll who beats Pleasant Valley in photo finish. Mounted by its jockey Davy Russell, the oldest in the race, it gives a breathtaking victory to Michael O’Leary, Ryanair’s chief executive. Congratulations to Davy and Tiger Roll, the 8-year-old thoroughbred which this year won in the most important race of the year!
