Tuesday April 24: a day inthe Marrakesh racecourse! For some years now, an international championship for Amazons sponsored by SHEIKHA FATIMA BINT MOUBARAK has been held. Discover now all our trips, tours, holidays and horse trekking in Morocco. The aim is to reintroduce the Arabian thoroughbred as a racehorse par excellence, substituded for a long time by the English thoroughbred. For this reason, the Amazons of various nations are invited to participate in a lot of stages around the world, and only the winners will be able to participate in the final which takes place in November at the Abu Dhabi racecourse. This year, on April 24, the race has taken place in St Moritz, Huston and Marrakesh. Stages in England, Poland, Holland, Sweden and France will follow. This last Moroccan stage was won by France, second place for Germany and third for Croatia. The racecourse was built only two years ago, a circular sand track of almost 1400 meters and beautiful stands reserved for owners and coaches. Despite it is a secondary racecourse, it hosts several days of racing, mostly Arabs, with even a decent prize money. To see if you are in the surrounding area …
