We present the Azore: a set of nine green volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The wonderful climates all year around has created a paradise for the proliferation of Orchids and one of the best places in the world for dolphin and whale watching. Riding the beautiful Lusitanians we will discover the island of Sao Miguel, the main island of the archipelago, with its many tracks traced by local farmers over the centuries.

Pick-up at the airport and transfer to Quinta, a typical lodge with local architecture. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and lesson in the Picadeiro (riding school) of about an hour to get familiar with the horses. Lunch and departure for a half day trek to the Fire Lagoon (Lagoa do Fogo). Dinner and overnight at the Quinta.
Full day on horseback in which we will cross the island of Sao Miguel. We will start from Livramento to finish on the north coast at the village of Calhetas. Dinner and overnight at the Quinta.
After having breakfast, departure for half a day of trekking in the Livramento area; we will climb up to Pico do Fogo, from which we will enjoy a fantastic view. After lunch, excursion by public transport to the Gorreana tea plantation; opportunity to swim in a natural water pool in Furnas. Dinner and overnight at the Quinta.
Early breakfast for another full day of trekking along the south coast and the village of Varzea. Lunch in a restaurant in the village of Feteiras. Dinner and overnight at the Quinta.
Free morning available for relaxation or other activities as desired. Half day trekking after lunch. Dinner and overnight at the Quinta.
Unforgettable day on horseback. We will arrive to the crater of the volcano, from which we will have an incredible view of the two twin lakes on one side and the ocean on the other. Visit to the picturesque village of Sete Cidades. Dinner and overnight at the Quinta.
Breakfast and transfer to the international airport.

GAIT: FROM 3 TO 6 HOURS PER DAY ON THE SADDLE APPROX. We proceed to the three gaits according to the equestrian level of the group.

You will stay overnight in a lodge, a traditional 17th century farmhouse whose local name is Quinta.
