Best of Botswana: Limpopo Valley & Okavango Delta
The Limpopo Valley … here the true Africa begins to reveal itself, a land that is sometimes rich and sometimes merciless, with its scarce pools of water, dotted with shaggy vegetation, which gives shelter and food to its inhabitants. The Limpopo valley takes its name from the river of the same name, dry for most of the year but which can reveal great surprises during the rainy season when everything is reborn … and then there is the delta … from above, see the sudden life reborn from the Kalahari desert. The Okavango River opens into the second largest inland delta in the world, after that of Niger, creating a riot of flora. An incredible concentration of fauna, as well as the colors of here are tinged with water at sunset. The last truly wild place in Africa; exploring it on horseback is truly a privilege… you will gallop in endless grasslands and meet buffaloes and elephants up close; nothing is taken for granted, every day is different and unique .. an adventure that will remain in your heart.

The alarm will always be at 5.30 to be on horseback very early and have the chance to spot wildlife before it hides from the heat. This almost desert-like reserve can vary greatly during the rainy season where it is covered with green grass and flowers. You will have the opportunity to approach herds of elephants, buffaloes, gazelles and zebra. The fauna in this area is very concentrated due to the richness of the vegetation. There will be the opportunity to gallop on the plains submerged by water. Depending on the season, it will be possible to travel the water canals with the local canoe, the mokoro. Meals and overnight stay in a fixed tented camp.
Breakfast and if the flight time allows it, you can take a last safari on horseback or by car. Transfer to the airstrip and flight with a 10-seat Cessna charter to Maun airport.
