Connemara: the ride of the cliffs 2021
Let yourself be caressed by the salty breeze of the Atlantic Ocean as you pass through the beauty of the Connemara region. A still wild region, west of the town of Galway. A set of marshes, interspersed with solitary valleys, mountains with a gray pallor and small lakes that sparkle when the sun peeps out. A journey to discover the coast, where the mountains meet the sea in a set of coves and fascinating rocky islets.

The meeting with our guides is at h. 10.00 am in Galway, at the Meyrick hotel (provide for an independent transfer from SHANNON airport by bus to Limerick). Transfer of about two hours to Toombeola from where we will leave with the horses. Stop for lunch above the hills of Cashel overlooking the sea and then continue through the Willies Mountains. Overnight in hotel or Guest House.
After having a healthy Irish breakfast ,we will go into the beautiful Willies mountains, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and lakes. After having lunch, we will descend towards the sea, and depending on the tide we will continue towards Mweenish or even its island. Overnight in hotel or Guest House.
A day dedicated to exploring beautiful unspoiled beaches, its islets that can be reached at low tide, such as Finish Island and the surroundings of Carna Village. There will be beautiful gallops on the beach. Overnight in hotel or Guest House.
We will ride towards the village of Carna, and then go up the mountains. After havig lunch ,we will pass by a salmon farm to Derryrush for dinner and overnight at the hotel or Guest House.
We continue along the coast to the village of Rosmuck. we will have an early lunch, due to the long afternoon on the saddle that awaits us through the mountains once we leave the coast. Overnight in hotel or Guest House.
This last day on the saddle will take place around Willie's Dartfield Horse Museum, dedicated to the Irish horse and the friendly Connemara ponies. Riders will be able to delight in cross coutry courses with various difficulty levels suitable for all participants, testing their skills in show jumping. Overnight in hotel or Guest House.

ANDATURA: 5/7 H AL GIORNO IN SELLA. Itinerari alle tre andature. Si chiede la dimestichezza nel sellare/dissellare il proprio cavallo, nel controllarlo in un gruppo numeroso di cavalieri all’aperto ed in terreni spesso rocciosi.

SISTEMAZIONE:
A seconda dell’opzione scelta i pernottamenti saranno in piccoli hotel o Guest Houses.
Nel caso delle Guest House sono tutte piccole strutture a conduzione familiare, spesso fattorie di allevamento di vitelli o piccole strutture sul mare. Un’atmosfera calda ed un’ottima cucina fatta in casa sono assicurate.
Gli hotel selezionati sono di dimensioni ridotte, tutte con un autentico stile di campagna, collocate nei villaggi o lungo le strade del nostro itinerario. Alcuni esempi di hotel utilizzati (o similari): Zetland Country House Hotel, Screebe Lodge, Connemara Gateway Hotel.
