If playing Polo is your passion or your life-long dream, this is your chance! Funny, fast ed emotional, Polo is a fantastic team sport that merges the saddle ability with the capacity of mastering the ball. We are talking about an ancient team game, that originated some century before Christ. It arrived in Argentina with some english people at the end of XIX century and it had a big dissemination between landowners, becoming quickly the symbol af Argentine middle class. It can’t exist an enviroment more suitable than the wide expanses of gauchos’ lands. Today it’s a national sport, and there are more than 250 Polo Clubs all around the Country, particulary into Mendoza’s and Cordoba’s regions.
This equestrain sport is said to be the natural evolution of the drills that English cavalry used to do to train for mounted combact during military campaigns: one can see the gesture a player makes, swinging the club from top to bottom to hit the ball; it’s similar to the slash taht vibes from a cavalry sabre-rattling
Always regarded as a sport for kings, princes, dukes and officals, Polo reminds medieval carousels and, as in those days, the cavaliers fight each other, testing their balance. Strenght and virility are the fundamentals to join this equestrian game, one of the oldest in the world, a knight challenge, riding their horses. Starting from a beautiful 15.000 acres Estancia into the natural region of Cordona, on the top of Sierra Chica, you could approach for the first time to Polo, or improve your skills. Suitable for both beginners and experts, this trip mixes Polo and trekking, discovering this amazing region.

Pick-up from Cordoba Airport (ODB) at 8.00 a.m. or at 8.00 p.m. and than transfert of approximately 1 hour to the Estancia. Dinner and overnight stay.
Hearty breakfasts and mornings dedicated to Polo. Sghort sessions to game's techniques and strategies. Packed Lunch or at the Estancia, free time for relaxing and, in the afternoon, some trekking in the surroundings to discover the beautiful nature of Sierra Chica.

ACCOMMODATION: LOCAL ESTANCIA
EQUIPMENT: ENGLISH OR WESTERN STYLE POLO SADDLES
HORSES: CRIOLLOS, PERUVIAN PASO. The horses are all bred and perfectly tamed in the estancia, they are also used for work with livestock. You will be lucky enough to experience the elastic and comfortable gaits of our horses.
GAIT / MOVEMENT: Half day dedicated to polo and half day of trekking to discover the surroundings. Moderate gaits depending on the equestrian level of the participants.
MINIMUM AGE: 10 years

ACCOMMODATION:
Overnight in a typical Estancia of the Cordoba region surrounded by the nature of the Sierra Chica. Colonial period building, delightfully renovated in a country chic style that offers every kind of comfort for its guests: swimming pool, large garden, reading room. Tastefully furnished rooms, private bathroom and wood heating.
It offers local European-style cuisine with influences of regional cuisine.
Note: The itinerary described above is to be considered indicative. It could be subject to variations due to weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control. If due to the rains it is impossible to use the polo field safely, trekking will be offered as an alternative.
Non-riders will still have the opportunity to join the group for prando and to enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides.
