Equestrian stay among the Lusitanians
A week in the renowned Escola de Equitação de Alcainça. Every day you will work followed by excellent dressage instructors, including George Malleroni, disciple of the legendary Nuno Oliveira. Lessons for riders of any level, from beginners to more experienced with high school exercises and personalized lessons. We offer an intensive program of two daily lessons of an hour and a half. During free time the structure offers a refreshing swimming pool.
The town of Alcainça is located about 40 km from Lisbon, 8 from Mafra and 15 from the beautiful Atlantic coast, lined with forests and pastures. The proximity to the sea allows for an excellent climate all year round, in order to better enjoy this experience.

Pick-up at Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport and transfer of approximately 40 minutes to the town of Alcainça. If your arrival time allows it, we will take the first lesson in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Intensive program of two lessons per day, reduced program 1 lesson (morning or afternoon)
The first lesson will be dedicated to understanding what the knight's abilities are and what are the results he would like to obtain. In particular, we will improve the execution of the works on two slopes (transfer to the leg, shoulder inwards, supported). Groups consist of 1 to 3 knights divided according to skills.
Typical lesson: the first 30 minutes are dedicated to warming up in step with many work exercises on two tracks. Trot and gallop with constant handling movements, paying particular attention to the rhythm and use of aids. For the more experienced there will be the opportunity to try some Portuguese classical high school movements.

HORSES: LUSITANIAN PURE BLOOD. The stable offers 20 perfectly trained horses, mostly stallions. The Lusitano horse, as famous as its Spanish cousin, the Andalusian, are considered to be the oldest horses in Europe, the predecessor of any breed found today on the American continent. Famous for their beauty, used in high school and also in dressage in the past, until the advent of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) which introduced breeds capable of extending the trot more. However, large horses remain, very fascinating and suitable for equestrian shows.
GAIT: FROM 1.5 TO 3 H PER DAY IN THE SADDLE ABOUT, depending on the program chosen (1 or 2 lessons). You work on the three gaits and the difficulty of the exercises depends on the equestrian level of each individual rider.
TYPE : Equestrian stay with overnight stay in a guest house
Located at the foot of a hilly terrain, the guest house offers its guests a recently renovated structure, with large rooms and private beams. There is also a swimming pool, billiard room and TV room.
Full board with water and tea available all day. Continental breakfast, two-course lunch and three-course dinner (soft drinks, beer and local wine for sale at the bar).
On request it is possible to have special diets.
