Horse safari in the Waterberg 2021
The dream of a lifetime, the cradle of humanity. This is where it all began, a million and a half years ago…. the first man walked on this sunburnt earth; now protected by UNESCO as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve. The Waterberg region is one of the most popular destinations in South Africa, with its famous mountain range, 150 km long, it is a wild but very suggestive region where the prairie is interspersed with the arid plain, a window on the beginning of the typical savannah African.
Departure dates available on request all year round with a minimum of 1 person departing from Italy.
Start any day of the week.
PARTICIPANTS: MIN 2 MAX 8
Pick-up at the airport and group departure at h. 10.30 am and transfer to the lodge which is about 300 km away (about 2.5 hours), and which is located in the Limpopo province, in the Waterberg area. Lunch and in the afternoon the first horse safari for a couple of hours. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
There are two horse rides per day, at 8.30 for about 3 hours and at 17.00 for about 1.5 hours. The beautiful private reserve, also dedicated to cattle breeding, offers the opportunity to spot wildlife on horseback without the risk of meeting the "big 5", not present on the estate. You will meet many antelopes, zebras, ostriches, small mammals, hippos and eagles. You can also carry out other activities on horseback: polo cross, a very entertaining local discipline, show jumping in riding stables and cross, swimming with horses in the lake in front of the lodge. During the week we will spend two nights at the Davidson tented camp.
Breakfast, last safari, lunch and at h. 14.00 group departure for the airport.
