Kosciuszko Park 2021
Horse Riding Trip in Australia to discover the beauty of Kosciuszko National PArk, a protected area located in the South-Eastern corner of New Galles. The park borders give us a mix of rugged mountains and wild nature, a picturesque destination known mainly on winter, thanks to its beautiful ski slopes, wiht a breath-taking view on snowed mountains.
The Park hosts a lot of exemples of Australian fauna, like the opossum pigmeo, and many bird’s species. It also offers a hearty and various vegetation, even if the majority of flora bear still the signs of the tragical 2003 fire, from which the Park is still slowly recovering.
In addition to skiers, it’s an ideal goal trip to fishing lovers, for mountain bike fans and, of course, for equestrian tourism, too. Ride a horse discovering the “Snowy Mountains“, area that inspired the famous movie “The Man From Snowy River”. A wild nature with breath-taking landscapes made of snowy peaks, calcareous caves, flower-filled valleys and small mountain lakes, reachables horse-riding.
You will find yourself absorbed in small mountans chalets and ancient gold mines and then gather in the evening around the campfire, talking with your trip mates of day’s adventures. Relax with a hot meal and enjoy your night under the Australian starry sky.
To finish the horse trip, you will visit the entire Northern part of the Park, crossing approximately 160 km tracks: Cave Creek, Curraingo Plain, Tantangara Creek e Mount Tantangara.

Pick-up from Cooma Airporto. Considering the arrival between 5.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. to be ready in time for the week's presentation dinner. (for those who will fly at Canberra or Sidney, there are some buses form the airport to Cooma's center). Dinner and then overnight stay in lodge.
Those days will be focused to the discovery of the amazing National Park. Breath-taking landscapes, ancient gold mines, small mountains lakes. In the northern part of the Park we will ride in different interesting points, like Cave Creek, Currango Plain, Tantangara Creek, Mount Tantangara e MOunt Morgan. Meals and overnights stays at the campsite tents.
We will come back to the lodge in the afternoon, to enjoy a hot shower and to tell us ours adventures during farewell dinner. Overnight stay in the lodge.

GAIT: 5-6 HOURS PER DAY ON THE SADDLE – The main pace is due to the mountain paths which are not particularly difficult ;they are also suitable for riders with a basic level of riding.for those who want to gallop there is the possibility- if the terrain allows – to improve thanks to these perfectly trained horses.

ACCOMMODATION:
LODGE: First and last night in the lodge, with rooms for 2 to 6 people. Shared services. Family atmosphere, games room and TV. Homemade meals of traditional cuisine. Anyone wishing to consume alcohol can bring them, the structure is not authorized to sell.
TENTED CAMP: during the trek you will sleep in a tented camp, which will change location every 2 nights. The tents are large and can accommodate up to 4 people ( they can also be used for 2 people). the tents are suitable for any temperature and weather conditions, mattresses are provided (bring your own sleeping bag). There are tents dedicated to services and showers on request, although every day there will be the opportunity to cool off in lakes and rivers.
In the middle of the field there will be a convivial bonfire and the area where meals are cooked and served.
