Mallorca: The island of monasteries 2021
Majorca is the largest of the islands of the Balearic archipelago, called “the Queen”. The island is known among tourists from all over the world for its protected bays, limestone mountains and Roman and Moorish remains. The capital Palma has a lively nightlife, not to be missed Plaza mayor and Plaza del Sol; it also houses the Almudaina royal palace and the cathedral of Santa María, dating back to the 13th century. In the old part of the city, the Arab Baths are also worth a visit, testimony of the glorious past and a fascinating example of Moorish architecture. But there is a very interesting spiritual and religious aspect of the island… .. it is not only beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea, it is in fact dotted with monasteries and convents that we will have the privilege of visiting on the saddle of beautiful Andalusians.
