For those arriving by car, the meeting will be directly in Mas de Recaute (Lauris) in the late afternoon, for a welcome drink and presentation of the travel program. Convivial dinner and overnight stay in the Guest House.
The itinerary begins in this area south of the Luberon: a small rocky path that will take us to the top of the Luberon hills, from which we will enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Ventoux, known as "the giant of Provence". We will reach the Claparèdes plateau, famous for the cultivation of lavender. Picnic lunch in the hills and in the afternoon we will ride in the canyon gorge, very similar to some landscapes of the USA. Dinner and overnight at the Guest House.
In the saddle among the endless lavender fields and then down through the famous canyon of Provence, a very scenic ocher-colored rock formation and set of various films. Dinner and overnight in a Guest House in Rustrel.
We will walk towards the Albion valley, which is also planted with lavender. Lunch near an ancient chapel, an area formerly used by the French Armed Forces for nuclear missiles. Visit to a perfume distillery and arrive at the hotel in time for some relaxation by the pool before visiting the village of Sault, known as the capital of lavender.
Today we will visit the charming medieval village of Aurel, which stands at the foot of Mount Ventoux. The colors of lavender interspersed with cereal fields create a harmony that inevitably makes everyone fall in love with this splendid region. In the afternoon we will arrive in Montbrun-les-Bains, surrounded by green hills, considered among the ten most beautiful villages in France.
Last day on the saddle; we will ride along the base of the "giant of Provence" and then enter a forest up to the Arles pass, which marks the beginning of the department. We will descend towards the wonderful Mevouillon valley for a stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will reach a viewpoint where you will have a 360 degree view. Last gallops to the meeting point with the vans and vehicles that will take you back to Lauris for the last supper.
After having breakfast transfers. Arrival at Aix central station at 10.00 am, Aix TGV at 10.30 am and at Marseille airport at 11.00 am.
