Safari in Rajasthan 2021
The beautiful and romantic city of Udaipur was founded in 1567, known as “the Venice of the East” lies between lakes Pichola and Fateh Sagar. Countless poets, writers and painters have been inspired by its splendor. We will discover, together with the descendants of the royal family, who will guide us on this tour, the beauty of this region and its noble warrior horses, the Marwari.

Pick-up from the airport and transfer to the hotel in Udaipur (expect an arrival in the morning). In the afternoon boat tour on Lake Pichola to enjoy the sunset.
Breakfast and transfer to the stables which are about 8 km from the city center. Walk for a couple of hours in the surroundings or alternatively lesson to better master the commands of the local riding. Return to the hotel for lunch and free afternoon to visit the city: the Palace and the bazaar.
After having breakfast, transfer to the stables and departure for a 4-hour tour of the Aravalli mountains. Lunch at the stables and afternoon dedicated to a more detailed visit of the city.
Full day excursion by public transport to the areas of Kumbhalgarth and Ranakpur, the two most beautiful sites in the Rajasthan region. Scenic road through the Aravalli mountains, visit the famous fort located on one of the highest elevations of the mountain range. We will then descend into the valley, seeing an ancient Persian water system still in use today. Arrive in Ranakpur for lunch, and in the afternoon visit its beautiful marble temple. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Full day dedicated to horses, trekking through the beautiful Aravalli mountains where we will cross small villages of the Bhil tribes. We will pass through rivers, lakes and valleys. Picnic lunch and return to the hotel in the afternoon.
Transfer to visit the ancient temples of Nagda and Eklingji about 20 km from Udaipur, where it will be very interesting to observe the ceremonies in progress. Return to the hotel for lunch and in the afternoon everyone on the saddle to enjoy a ride at sunset.
Day on horseback to discover the Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary. Last farewell dinner at the stables and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast and transfer to the airport.

CAVALLI: MARWARI, razza locale anticamente addestrata per la guerra. Fu portata in india dagli invasori musulmani ed allevata in zone desertiche. Cavallo di taglia media, molto elegante dalle caratteristiche orecchie con la punta all’interno. Il cavallo in India è considerato un animale divino ed ancora oggi la popolazione li rispetta ed ha un legame ancestrale con loro.
ANDATURA: DA 2 A 5 H AL GIORNO IN SELLA. Andature moderate con brevi trotti e galoppi.
TIPOLOGIA: Soggiorno equestre con pernottamenti in hotel
SISTEMAZIONE:
5 pernottamenti in hotel di categoria media nel quartiere storico di Udaipur, a pochi minuti a piedi dal Palazzo e dal Bazaar. Arredamento tradizionale in legno, TV, aria condizionata e ventilatore. (Possibilità di upgrade soggiornando direttamente al Palazzo, per un’esperienza unica nella vita).
Per chi prolungasse il viaggio, 2 pernottamenti durante il Safari in campo tendato. Tende singole o doppie, molto confortevoli. Il campo, che richiama i tradizionali accampamenti di guerra, offre servizi, docce ed asciugamani. Area ombreggiata all’aperto per i pasti che propongono piatti di cucina tradizionale.
Nota: L’itinerario sopra descritto è da considerarsi indicativo. Potrebbe essere soggetto a variazioni dovute alle condizioni meteo o circostanze indipendenti della nostra volontà. E’ possibile introdurre nella settimana un’esperienza di 2 giorni di safari a cavallo. Per chi soffrisse il caldo consigliamo di evitare i mesi di Maggio e Giugno.
