A true “escape from the city” experience … a week immersed in Canadian nature living the life of a working ranch. Long rides in nature, meals cooked on the fire and new friends that you will remember for life. Amid the rolling hills and beautiful landscape of the Saskatchewan River valley, this quaint working ranch sits directly on the shores of Lake Diefenbaker; a leap into the past that will make you believe you are in a western movie of the past. This land is a continuous alternation of prairies in contrast with canyons, hills and the sandy beach of the lake. With almost 12 km of lakefront, it is a perfect place to immerse yourself in serenity, living an authentic experience away from the chaos of the city.
Departure dates on request, minimum 1 person departing from Italy from MAY to OCTOBER with arrival on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Expect an arrival between 12.00 and 19.00 at Saskatoon International Airport (YXE) on Mondays, Thursdays or Saturdays. Transfer to the ranch, dinner and overnight in a double bungalow.
We will spend long days oin the saddle. After a substantial "western" style breakfast, we will ride exploring the property, checking the livestock and spotting deer, owls, foxes, coyotes and with a little luck the golden eagle.
For beginners, it will be possible to have some basic western riding lessons before trying their hand at some out-of-town outings.
Depending on the desire and equestrian skills, participants will be able to help in the daily corvé, without neglecting a little relaxation around the fire or noticing in the lake.
In summer, when the nights are milder, we can load up the horses to spend a night in the bivouac under the stars.
When you are not in the saddle there are still many activities available: swimming in Lake Diefenbaker or relaxing along its sandy shores, rowing and canoeing, water skiing and fishing.
In the surroundings it is possible to attend rodeos (to be booked at the ranch), admire the areas of Cypress Hills, Fort Walsh, and Great Sand Hills, a semi-desert dune area that suddenly appears in a valley (guided tours yes can book directly on site).

GAIT: FROM 5 TO 7 HOURS PER DAY ON THE SADDLE, gaits based on the rider’s ability. Everyone can participate in the various daily corvés according to their equestrian level. The desire to take care of the saddling / unsaddling of your horse is appreciated.

ACCOMMODATION:
The working ranch is located in the Cabri Regional Park and Prairie National Wildlife Area in Canada’s Saskatchewan region, north of Montana and North Dakota.
It offers its guests 6 comfortable Western-style furnished bungalows with private bathroom. After a day on horseback there is nothing better than a dip in the heated pool or in the lake in front of the ranch.
Guests have access to a saloon for after dinner, with billiards, darts and country music. Surrounding Area White bear Saloon.
If you want to immerse yourself in nature, the ranch does not have Wi-Fi and telephone coverage is often poor. There is no television or telephone in the rooms.
Home cooking from dinner on day 1 to breakfast on day 8. The atmosphere is familiar and meals are eaten together, telling the stories of the day.
Lunch is often eaten around the fire during the day on the saddle.
