A unique opportunity to ride the noble Lipizan horse through the varied karst territory with a thousand facets. Just two hours from Venice, on the Slovenian Adriatic coast, this historic center awaits you. Founded in 1580 at the behest of the Archduke Charles of Habsburg, the best dressage horses famous all over the world are still bred and selected today.

Possible transfer (on request) and arrival in Lipiza, check-in at the hotel adjacent to the stables and presentation meeting with the instructor. Free dinner and overnight at the Hotel Maestoso.
After having breakfast,everyone in the stable and departure on horseback to visit the beautiful estate and breeding; picnic lunch in the shade of the trees and in the afternoon we will discover the surrounding karst area, with its varied landscape with beautiful crevasses and ravines .. Upon returning to the stables we will attend the equestrian show (lasting approximately 1 hour). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast and we will be on the saddle heading east, passing through the Brkini hills to the caves of Skocjan, a UNESCO heritage site, which will give you an incredible emotion. Visit and lunch. Return to Lipiza in the afternoon in time for a beautiful and romantic carriage ride along the estate's paths also used by the Habsburg family at the time. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast and departure for the Kokoska hills at 670 meters, from which you will dominate the Gulf of Trieste. We will leave the horses to rest in the shade of the trees and after a short climb on foot we will reach the place where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, return to the stables, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast and departure for the Belajava estate, about 16 km from Lipiza. Here, away from city life, we will immerse ourselves in the tranquility of this place by visiting the beautiful gardens. Tasting of typical products and return in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
On the saddle to Dutovlje where we will have a tasting of local wines. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast, check-out and departure. Possibility of extending the stay with a night in camping in the olive groves of Lisjak or following classic riding lessons (quotation on request).

HORSES: LIPIZZANO HORSE, with its typical pure white color (gray in technical terms) in adulthood, originates in Lipiza, where bloodlines have been bred and selected since 1580. Elegant and docile horse was selected for the Habsburg court and “Alta Escuela Espanola” in Vienna. A horse that today has various farms throughout Europe, is famous for its dressage performances all over the world.
GAIT: daily trekking within a radius of 20 km from the farm. The terrains are quite simple but the ability to know how to control the horse in open spaces at the three gaits is still required.

ACCOMMODATION:
Overnight at the Maestoso Hotel, a slightly old fashioned structure, built in 1970. It takes its name from one of the 6 founding stallions of the Lipizan breed. The newly renovated hotel offers 59 comfortable rooms and 7 suites: private bathroom, hair dryer, telephone, satellite TV, radio and mini bar, WI-FI (for a fee). There is also a fitness center with sauna, swimming pool, snack bar, casino, golf course and clay tennis courts.
