Trekking in the Norwegian mountains 2021
Come and discover what Norway has to offer: breathtaking views, an authentic lifestyle, friendly people and a sense of adventure !! The Norwegian landscape is very varied, high mountains, deep valleys, peaceful forests and an incredible coastline characterized by thousands of small islands and fjords. You will be fascinated by these lands, on horseback we will travel about 150 km of tracks discovering different regions.

Plan a 1:00 or 5:00 pm flight for pick-up and transfer to the hotel in the picturesque village of Stugudal, about 120 km away. During the transfer you can admire the Norwegian landscape and once you arrive there will be a brief meeting with the guides to illustrate the program of the week. We will meet our horses in a short ride before enjoying a delicious dinner of local products. Overnight at Hotel.
Abundant breakfast and departure on horseback to discover dense forests and wild mountains. Arriving near a river, we will set up a campfire to prepare lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon we will reach a nice cottage in Nedalel where we will prepare dinner. Overnight in the cottage.
Another day on the saddle to discover unspoiled nature and great views of the Sylane mountains. Picnic lunch and in the afternoon arrive at a chalet on the shores of Lake Essand where we will stop for dinner and overnight.
Today we will cross the border into Sweden, along the tracks used by the Scandinavians. We will go to Sylstation, where we will stop for dinner and overnight.
After having breakfast, all on the saddle to go even further into the Swedish territory up to the slopes of the Helags mountains. Dinner and overnight in a cottage surrounded by the nature of the mountains.
We will return to Norway today, following the ancient pilgrim tracks of the 12th century to the sacred city of Trondheim and Nidaros Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in the cottage.
Another day on horseback immersed in nature that will bring us back to civilization. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Stugudal for the last dinner and overnight at the hotel.

HORSES: ICELANDIANS, this strong horse is the original “Viking”, its existence has been known since the 19th century and its collaboration has allowed humans to settle in this territory. Breed with peculiar characteristics, such as its half stature, the long and thick mane and its particular “ambiata” gait, very fast. This horse despite having a wild spirit, also given by still living in the wild today, is able to establish a friendship and complicity with its rider, unique in the world.
GAIT: 5 to 6 H IN THE SADDLE. Moderate gaits with long trots (amble). We will travel about 150 km in total

2 nights (first and last) in comfortable hotels with private facilities.
The other nights will be in rustic huts, with mattresses and pillows. Shared toilets and showers. True Norwegian spirit requires adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to participate in daily corvés.
