Valle d’Aosta: The Milk Route
We are located in the area of the Gran Paradiso National Park. The magic of this place, of these mountain,ca be found in the absence of mass tourism and welcoms those riders who love to experience the horse naturally and without confusion.
Here we can find small villages of very ancient origins, built in a hollow of pastures at the foot of Punta Leissé. With an extraordinarily panoramic position, very close to the central valley of Aosta. there are the valleys of Cogne, Valsavarenche, Val di Rhemes, Valgrisenche, as well as numerous peaks and reliefs, of which Becca can be recognized di Nona, Mont Emilius, Pointe de la Pierre, Grivola, Ciarforon and Becca di Monciair, and the Rutor glacier.

Plan to arrive in the afternoon in Vetan, in the municipality of Saint-Pierre (AO). Check-in at Chambres d'Hotes l'Abri de Vetan. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, meet at the equestrian center at 9.00 am. Assignment of the horses and departure for the Vallone di Vertosan. Lunch break with "bocconata alla valdostana" and tasting of various typical local products. Departure in the afternoon, descending towards the village of Vedeun and then on to Vens, where we will spend the night at the Albergo Vagneur.
Everyone in the saddle by 9:00 am. Today we will climb towards the high alpine pastures and we will stop for a typical lunch in a suggestive mountain stone house. In the afternoon we'll go back to the valley and the Pesse alpine pasture and then we'll go up again to the Refuge Mont Fallere where we'll spend the night.
Departure at 9.00 a.m. for the last day in the saddle. We will descend towards Thouraz where we will stop for a last lunch before returning to Vetan at the stables.

ACCOMMODATION:
VETAN:1overnight stay at Chambres d’Hotes abri de Vetan. the structure is located at 1700 meters above the sea level, in the hamlet of Vetan, in the municipality of St-Pierre. Convenient and panoramic is the road that climbs up here between manicured pastures and flower meadows. The ancient stone and wood building has been completely renovated with skill and good taste, maintaining some valuable architectural features of the past. On the ground floor is the small common room, enriched with flowers and other wooden sculptures. On the upper floors we find the rooms for rent. Large and spacious, each room count on private bathroom and shower, some with balcony. All enjoy a good panoramic view towards the Gran Paradiso area and the Pila basin. Breakfasts are rich and abundant: with cakes, jam and sweet black bread, all homemade by Antonella, the friendly owner of the company. As for lunch and dinner, right next to the company there is the well-known Vetan Restaurant, owned by the family, with typical Aosta Valley specialties.
VEDEUN: Hotel Vagneur: located 8 km from Saint-Nicolas, in the hamlet of Vagneur. Mountain hut, a magical and characteristic place. This family-run refuge is very welcoming and offers a terrace with a view and a tasty restaurant serving typical Aosta Valley cuisine.
PESSE: Mont Fallère Refuge: The refuge is located at 2385 meters, it is a new structure with the appearance of a typical mountain hut. For the construction, both inside and outside, old disused wood was used. It is equipped with solar panels to ensure an ecological production of hot water as well as the integration of the heating system in less hot periods.
Not far away there are streams and glacial lakes and the relative abundance of water supplies power to the control unit that produces electricity.
The structure offers 8 traditionally furnished rooms, a typical cuisine restaurant, sauna, whirlpool and relaxation room.
